Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Same School Ride (the “Service”). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Same School Ride is — and is not
Same School Ride is a non-commercial introduction service. It lets parents and guardians at the same school find each other and arrange to share a school run in a parent’s own private car.
Same School Ride is not, and does not hold itself out as:
- a taxi, limousine, ride-hailing, or private-hire service;
- a school transport or school bus operator;
- a transport company or a party to any journey;
- an employer or agent of any driver.
We provide the introduction only. Every arrangement is a private, voluntary agreement between the parents involved.
2. No fares, no prices
Same School Ride charges nothing and takes no commission. It does not display, suggest, set, collect, hold, process, or guarantee any payment, and shows no prices on routes. If parents choose to share fuel or other running costs, that is a private, voluntary arrangement strictly between them that Same School Ride is not a party to and takes no part in, including in any dispute about money.
3. Who may use the Service
- You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of a pupil enrolled at the school you select.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password confidential.
4. Drivers’ responsibilities
If you offer seats, you confirm that you will, at all times:
- hold a valid UAE driving licence;
- keep the vehicle roadworthy, registered, and covered by valid motor insurance that permits carrying other people’s children in a cost-sharing arrangement (check your policy — some do not);
- use child seats and restraints as required by UAE law for every child;
- carry no more passengers than there are seat belts, and never leave a child unaccompanied;
- drive lawfully and not under the influence of anything impairing.
5. Riders’ responsibilities
- Satisfy yourself about any driver, vehicle, and other passengers before your child travels. Same School Ride does not vet drivers, inspect vehicles, run background checks, or verify insurance beyond limiting visibility to your own school.
- Give the driver accurate pickup information and the emergency contact details they need.
- Tell the driver promptly if your child will not be travelling.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- give false information or impersonate anyone;
- use the Service to advertise a business or solicit customers;
- harass, abuse, or endanger any other user or child;
- scrape, copy, or misuse other users’ contact details for any purpose other than arranging an agreed shared ride.
We may suspend or remove any account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe puts other users at risk.
7. The platform’s role and liability
Same School Ride provides the introduction service “as is”. We do not promise that you will find a match, that any route will run, or that any user is who they say they are.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Same School Ride is not liable for the acts or omissions of any user, for anything that happens on or in connection with a shared ride, for the condition of any vehicle, for any driver’s licence or insurance, or for any dispute between parents (including about money). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Same School Ride against claims, losses, and costs arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your conduct towards other users.
9. Your account
You can delete your account at any time from your settings or by emailing hello@sameschoolride.com. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms or if we discontinue the Service.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
